Uh, that's not a control group. For one, it doesn't account for the placebo effect.
Good point. Hey, everybody out there who is critically ill and wants to be part of a study where you are given a placebo or no medicine at all, please raise your hands.
I believe there is a controlled group of 650 being treated in NYC. Believe the update was reported on Ingraham last night. Of 650 given the redgemin, two still needed to be hospitalized, 1 intubated, the rest are doing well but still under medication and observation.
I wouldn't want to be in the control group. And having a control group might be unethical really soon, if not now. I like the swab tests. We should be looking for retrospective data now, too-like docs who are taking it as a trophy.
PROHPY-prophylaxis, that is
That's not an apples for apples comparison. There is good reason to run trials with a comparable blinded control group and it is remiss to not do this. And why did Raoult withhold adverse results from the first study?
Why are you looking for a reason to deny the results?
You really don’t understand basic clinical research, do you?
Fair enough. Before we all head back to school to get our degrees in clinical research...please calculate the odds/probability explaining away the high incidence of "clinical improvement" in that study. Thanks
