Fairly sure that map is widely known of amongst anyone with a passing knowledge of European imperial expansion in the latter part of C.19th, but if it makes you feel like there’s been a cover-up to imply conspiracy then you fill your boots.

One wonders how a continent like Africa, as wealthy in materials as any continent, would have developed without European interference, and how much suffering today is caused by the evil of the past

I do remember in the 80’s, a slogan went that if Africa’s wealth was equally shared everybody in the entire continent would be a millionaire.

Strange how nobody considers the Arab/Omani presence on the eastern coast for more than a thousand-year a colonisation! The Arab-Belgian proxy war fought primarily by African recruits was one of the bloodiest wars in African history.
