In this case I instruct the 68k to cycle colours on screen. This all works without Amigaos exec running. I mimick a special "Test mode" pcmcia card which commodore used for factory testing Amigas. Just look at the boot time, when you hear the click sound I switch on the Amiga.

Now you can imagine what possibilities this opens :) Full control of the Amiga trough PCMCIA

Yes, the Amiga Sidecar also did this from a 8086!

Trough a A1200 pcmcia slot? The A1000/A500 sidecar slot includes all signals needed for the 68k bus arbitration scheme. There it's as easy as pulling the BR line low and wait for the 68k to acknowledge bus ownership by pulling BG low. Takes a single 74LS chip for all the magic :)

I’m not familiar with amiga , but couldn’t this done by writing opcodes directly on hdd? What am I missing ?
-
Yes of course. But in this case I want to change the program the 68k executes on the fly. Basically I remote control the CPU trough the PCMCIA slot. I abuse the CPU as statemachine giving my FPGA access to Mainboard resources usually not reachable trough the PCMCIA slot.
