Here's an interesting fact I read in wiki: During WWII, Maurice Evans was the Commander of a Special Services company in Hawaii. His First Sergeant was Howard Morris (a.k.a. Ernest T. Bass). Members of the unit included Carl Reiner and Werner Klemperer.
