    Walter Jon Williams is awesome. MASSIVELY underrated author. So many great books. DEF is fun, good. He's written even better, though.

    Book 1 was fine. If there's nothing new there. Just stock pieces, clicked together. Life is too short to spend time reading retreads.

    I'll say this for "The Expanse", tho: it didn't anally rape and defile the source material like SyFy's "Magicians".
