5 biological, 2 adopted. 1 of the biological has Down’s syndrome. I do think that life experience is a huge deal to have on the court, regardless of her politics.

IIRC both Sotomayor and Kagan are unmarried and have no children, which is fine, of course, but 7 kids is an interesting counter to that!

Yet she would deny the right of other women who cannot afford seven children access to an abortion. She has the nannies, private school, etc. to make this choice possible. The low wage mom is on her own.
