I think I spent most of my time breaking up fights over toys which is why we started getting two of everything.
-
someone suggested an egg-timer to divvy up the time on a disputed toy - but then they just started fighting over the egg-timer!
-
Also the kids already destroyed one egg timer so I am not risking the replacement.

As an early childhood teacher, I can tell you that children do not naturally want to share. Everything is "mine" to them, & they can and do get mighty upset when they are told to share. Some throw tantrums, some get physically aggressive & hurt the other child. Sharing is taught.

Eternal debate. Was Rousseau right or Darwin? Given hundreds of millions of year of evolution looks like Darwin takes the prize...
-
There's not really any serious debate about the fact that children can be insanely selfish and cruel to one another.

Mark, how do you know that Capitalism won’t turn just as corrupt as the government? Right now Capitalism is worse to me because it calls people like me, someone on disability, thieves and that taxes are theft. I’m not a fucking thief! I’m just trying to survive in this world -

Capitalism doesn’t call you thrives, it creates the wealth that makes charity possible so that people can give freely of their time and money to help those in need. The welfare state uses force to compel redistribution of wealth. All initiated force breeds resentment

Well I’ve seen and heard a lot of Capitalist people who call me and others like me thieves and apparently for a lot of them it’s like we’re putting a gun to their heads. They are quite horrible. The thing is that not all people are just willing to give freely to charity or to -

help others in general and honestly I don’t think most people give a shit. If the government didn’t force people to help then I honestly think me and people like me would be fucking screwed.

In this life I’ve learned the hard way that people like me don’t have the luxury to trust people to do the right thing. I’ve also learned that people always fuck you over and walk over you. I know there are a lot of good people out there but it’s just not enough.
