And a reminder to Oregon's 5th Congressional District voters: Our recently elected Rep Lori Chavez-DeRemer voted in favor, of course. Read more (and weep) about GOP's 1st piece of legislation bit.ly/3kK7JWb

House Republicans voted to increase the deficit by $114 billion so they could help billionaire tax cheats avoid paying taxes. Just a reminder that the GOP doesn't actually care about reducing the deficit.

Republicans voted to raise the debt ceiling for Trump — not once, not twice, but 3 times. But now there's a Democrat in the White House, they don't want to raise it again. It’s a con to create economic chaos, and we shouldn’t fall for it.

At a time when we pay the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs, isn’t it great that Pfizer had $1 million to give to the Kentucky Republican Party to expand its headquarters named for Mitch McConnell.

In what may be the largest political contribution ever given to a political party in Kentucky, the drug maker Pfizer Inc. gave $1 million last month to the building fund of the Republican Party of Kentucky. From @KYLantern kentucky.com/news/politics-

In a historic milestone for the nation, today Oregon became the first state to have 5⃣ Vietnamese American legislators sworn in to serve. Representation is our strength, making sure all voices and experiences are at the policy making table. #orleg #orpol

.@GOPLeader Last week you wouldn't condemn Trump for dining with Fuentes & West. This week Trump said we should terminate all rules, regulations etc “even those in the Constitution" to overturn the election. Are you so utterly without principle that you won't condemn this either?
Quote Tweet
Hey @GOPLeader - where is your condemnation of Donald Trump for meeting with neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes, the pro-Putin leader of the America First Political Action Conference? I know you want to be Speaker, but are you willing to be completely amoral? twitter.com/Liz_Cheney/sta…

Following last night's tragic shooting at Club Q, Oregon's LGBT Caucus releases a statement mourning the victims and condemning the hateful anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric happening across the country. Full statement here: oregonlegislature.gov/housedemocrats
Our hearts are breaking for the victims, their friends and families – for lives lost and forever changed – by this devastating, horrific attack on our community. We uplift the truly heroic actions of the patrons who acted with incredible courage, subduing the gunman and defending innocent lives against unbridled hate and violence. We are concerned by the escalation in hate-fueled violence and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric we continue to see across the nation and in Oregon. Just last month in Eugene, we saw threats of violence outside a local pub during its Drag Queen Storytime event. Reports to Oregon’s Bias Crime Hotline increased by over 50% in 2021 alone. Bias crimes are vastly underreported. Every person, without exception, deserves to feel safe and protected in their communities. During the 2023 Legislative Session, we will work to lift up the voices of those most impacted by these terrible acts – to fund community violence prevention programs, advance common-sense gun safety leg
