My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

Mam, there is a chasm between what you believe, and what it is so. Has the city reconciled, apologized, offered restitution, for the deaths that it's wilful, ideology fueled, negligence caused? Did it say it was wrong to again release a man who was arrested for over 100 crimes?
