Yeah but it will also fly around pretty regularly in peacetime too. It's pretty common to see over Dayton, happens a few times a year.

Wright-Patterson is a frequent deployment base for E-4B, along with Andrews, Fairchild and other locations. At one time, I believe, Wednesday was "turnover" day for alert crews, so the deployed E-4 may be heading home to hand off the duty to another crew.

The time to "worry" about NAOC is when you see the E-4B and Air Force One/Marine One heading to the same location in a crisis, for a transfer of the president and key staff. During major contingencies, POTUS runs the show from the E-4, not the VC-25
