Phase I renovations at Lennon Park on Lake Avenue is now underway! Upgrades to the park include: rehabilitation of the basketball court and mini-soccer pitch, a walkway near the play area, and new fencing. Phase I is slated to be complete in the Spring!

Mayor Spano broke ground on the first of three phases of renovations planned for Trevor Park, located on Ravine Avenue. Renovations include the installation of new basketball courts, new tennis courts, new benches and walkways and the replacement of the playground surfacing.

Hey Yonkers! Did you know curb collection of refuse started during the New Year's holiday back in 1950? On January 2, curb collection of refuse began in Yonkers. People lined up their ash and garbage cans to be picked up by one of 37 city trucks; each truck had a crew of four.
