    Notice of Upcoming Erratic Relocation... To prepare for light rail to reach Downtown in 2024, the Erratic installation will relocate west along the Central Connector. The project is expected to be complete by the end of this summer.

    A series of weather systems are continuing to push through the region this weekend, bringing plenty of rain and some wind.

    Winds increase from the south this afternoon and become strong tonight...especially coast and from Everett northward. As a cold front passes Sat A.M., a strong surge of westerly wind will push through the Strait of Juan de Fuca impacting Whidbey Is. & Admiralty Inlet areas.

    With more rain and snow on the way, the threat for landslides and avalanches will continue into the weekend. Stay aware and drive safely out there!

    Good morning! To recap, mudslides currently affecting, SR 4, SR 109, SR 101 and SR 18. Avalanche control happening this am at Stevens, and more rain in the forecast. Give each other a little extra room out there and try not to point and giggle at those with umbrellas.

    FYI- Swedish Redmond Emergency will be closed from 7 p.m. this evening until 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 due to a strike.

    In advance of a planned strike of Swedish Medical Centers, the region's largest medical system is closing emergency rooms in Ballard and Redmond on Monday. Nurses fear there is not enough notice to the public.

    They always say "We're just doing our job," but some days' work deserves a Chief's Letter of Recognition. In June, our Traffic Unit provided aid to a driver suffering from a medical issue. He wrote the Chief to thank them for their quick actions. Keep up the great work! 👏👏👏
