BIG NEWS: Today announced that & are funding a major expansion of the Citi Bike Critical Workforce Program. Now, critical workers across NYC can access free one year Citi Bike Annual Memberships, as opposed to one month memberships.
To support the solidarity ride at Grand Army Plaza tonight, we will be waiving overtime fees on rides over 30 min (or 45 min for members) through 9pm.

Last night we were required by the City on short notice to shut down service by 10:30pm and for the duration of curfew. We know how disruptive this was for our riders, especially for those who rely on bikeshare as a critical option for essential travel needs, and we’re sorry.

New station alert! Today, we installed a new station outside Columbia University Medical Center at 169th St & Ft. Washington Ave.
This will provide healthcare workers uptown with a new option for getting to work during this difficult time.

As directed by , we are temporarily shutting down service tonight, restarting as soon as curfew is lifted at 5am.
We know NYC is hurting right now. We’re still discussing options for providing service during curfew hours and will share more when we can.

We have been working with all day, hoping that we could avoid another shutdown. Unfortunately, we were just informed that we are required to shut down tonight, starting at 8pm for curfew.

Citi Bike family, we apologize for our service yesterday morning.
Due to unseasonably high temperatures and people opting for fresh air on a bike, system ridership was 60% greater than March of last year.
We are working hard to boost dock availability as quickly as possible.

When the system is shut down to new trips, anyone who has a bike out can still return it to a station. We’ll share another update about service as soon as we can. We encourage you to check local transit schedules. We’ll resume service at 5am tomorrow.

You may have noticed a few stations missing on the map. Our stations are solar powered, and we're seeing more stations out of service than usual due the winter weather and limited daylight that powers the panels. Our team is working to get these stations operating ASAP. 🚲💙
