I was talking about two situations where people are circumcised. The least likely is life saving event, since there have been cases where circumcision was needed. I bring up preventiive to show that it does have important benefits for people wanting to do it for said purpose or-

Neither case justifies performing it on a newborn before any phimosis or similar issue even develops. You said elsewhere you don't support that practice, but you keep defending it, so I'm a little lost as to what your point is.

Like vaccines, there preventions for a reason. You do it early to prevent those stuff from even forming at all. Since why wait for a problem, when you can eliminate from ever coming up. I'm against hospitals forcing circumcisions on all children. It's a parental decision.

There's no logic in mutilating someone on the off chance that it might prevent a lesser problem down the road though. Otherwise why not just start lopping off all kinds of "non-essential" bits? Breasts? Might get cancer! Testicles? Torsion can kill! Limbs? Might break a bone!

You can't really call STDs lesser problems when it had destroyed lives each year. Even then, all these other parts have irreplaceable biological function, risk would be higher than the benefits, and will worsen quality of life. Foreskin functions makes no actual difference in-

-what it supposedly does. Pleasure is the same for cut and interact males, as well as sensitivity. And the glide feature have no unique functions that actually makes any difference. So the foreskin is literally useless.

Weird that there's a part of the body that's just totally useless like that. Weird that its analogue on the female body - the clitoral hood - is absolutely full of nerve endings and hurts like a bitch when you cut it off (which is the mildest form of fgm).

Many STDs are actually completely cureable in current year, only a few are still really a life-changing problem in the first world where circumcision is prevalent. I'm not as convinced as you are that the foreskin is useless. I bet it's very useful, but as a woman I'll never know

Only four of the most common STDs are curable, which leads HIV still being incurable and having the most damage to the body. It's still doesn't stop the fact circumcision still lowers these rates of many STDs, especially HIV.

Excuse me?
Circumcision removes a highly errogenous body tissue with more than 20000 nerve endings, ridged band, etc. http://Foreskin.Life , http://ForeskinFunctions.com .
