    Why I write long-form essays: 1) Writing sharpens my thinking. 2) To attract the most intellectually curious people in the world — and learn from them. 3) To build deep relationships with readers, some of whom will become lifelong friends. Long-form is my favorite format.

    would love to hear more nuance on this but my current take on “cancel culture isn’t real” is that people who clearly have done something criminal/totally egregious stay “cancelled” for a while but people in situations with lots of ambiguity/polarized opinions tend to recover

    Once bought the domain name with the idea to create a “talent investor” (ala Entrepreneur First) + placement agency (within our portfolio) exclusively for people laid off at startups or coming out of totally failed ones. Still think someone should try it!

  16. Process, async communications and results-driven are all the more important at remote-only companies. But IMHO, the best policy is to seek talent-skill-job-impact fit. Then your best people won’t and can’t stop, because it’s not just work, it’s fun working! 💪🏼
