Family in Edinburg just got power after nearly 48 hours, for other family there it’s still out

Happy to hear that! Some of my fam in north Edinburg (North of monte cristo) just got power back too, but I’m near the university, and we’ve been out almost 50 hrs now.

I’m relatively new to the RGV but absolutely stumped in the variation of response per company. It seems that availability depends on the provider and not the neighborhood?? Correct me if I’m wrong.

AEP provides the infrastructure for a number of companies. Maybe the ones not usin AEP infrastructure are getting back online quicker?

Do you have any idea how many people these extended outages effect? I'm wondering if the 40,000 people figure is still accurate.

I have Magic and ours came back Sunday around noon. My friends who have Magic in Mission/McAllen/Edinburg are still without. It really varies on the infrastructure that was damaged, there are lines and poles laying flat all over north McAllen
