Bloomberg wasn't wrong though - rooting for Florida to fail because you want our side to be proven right is kind of insane - I'm leery of reopening, but I cast a much bigger side-eye at the people posting "I told you so!" gifs, like why would that spark joy what is wrong with you

It’s less the “rooting for it” and “his approach has been sensible.” I’m definitely rooting for Florida. There’s no floating here.

Isn’t Florida under scrutiny for under reporting its cases as well?
-
Yes, they didn't report deaths, didn't report private labs, and aren't reporting nursing homes. You know... basically a good portion of reporting.

And the beaches are the least of our problems here in Florida....if you go shopping you will see about a third of the shoppers AND Employees wearing masks or social distancing...the rest are following their Dear Leader thinking it’s only killing POC and old folks, who cares

100%. I went out last week for my bi-monthly grocery shop and couldn't believe how few people were wearing masks! Not to mention the people I know that just would. not. stay. home. but they all thought they were... except for a quick trip to (name any place)! it's so dumb!

I live in Florida and can confirm that Desantis’s approach to the virus has been the opposite of sensible.

My parents are outside of Orlando. When I spoke to my mom on Sunday she'd just gotten two emails: one that another of her neighbors died (3rd in as many days) the other that the pool and clubhouse in their community were re-opened.

Double yikes on that one. :(
