Cops could have nipped this in the Bud easy. After covering 7 months of peaceful DC protesters get gassed, maced, beaten, and shot at, #MAGA Trumpers rioting at the Capitol with almost no police pushback is the greatest spectacle of white privilege I have ever seen.

They are indeed getting gassed, maced, beaten, and shot at. It's just they're a bigger crowd. It's not that there isn't a police pushback. It's that the pushback has failed.

Nonsense. The authorities have had weeks to prepare. The BLM protests this summer were the largest in the nation’s history and plenty of resources were found to beat, gas, and arrest protesters with abandon.
