So, you learned about food rescue and SNAP. I imagine the talk was about how the programs worked. Did you ask why they are needed? Or did just assume it was because they spend all their darn pennies on booze or women or movies?

Hello! I’m the one that talked with him. I raised a lot of issues about how neither food banks nor SNAP can meet the need alone and how these are bandaids to much bigger issues not being addressed. It was contentious and Senator Grassley and I did go back and forth. I tried.
