How’s it different than when Obama tried to pass it? Other than the president isn’t black or a democrat now?

Obama had a GOP House that would not advance a bill that would pass because it would make a Dem Pres. look good.

It is a good start but it only applies to federal prisons. Those have an outsized percentage of white collar criminals compared to state prisons. Grateful for the bipartisan effort on that and the bill to identify political donors. More cooperation and less compition please.
