Maybe it *used* to be beneath Grassley, but sadly that’s right at his level now. Trump has a morally corrupting effect on a lot of people.

Obama didn’t utter a name: "With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that, I believe, will open the floodgates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections.”

"I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests or, worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people. And I urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps correct some of these problems."

That was not a rebuke, nor was it directed to Alito. It was a mild statement that he disagreed with the Citizens United ruling, which was an unmitigated disaster for democracy. He was standing up for democracy, unlike you.

And Obama has been proven to be correct. Citizens United has destroyed our democratic process which is now up for sale for the highest bidder including foreigners. But Chuck and his band of GOP imbeciles are all about the $$ and could care less about our democracy.

Do you not get the difference between attacking an entire circuit of the Federal Court system and stating disagreement with one decision? Do you not see why the Chief Justice would be bound to defend the ....

....Federal Judges? If you cannot see the obvious distinction, why are you the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee?
