How about we eliminate pharma commercials altogether like tobacco ads. More important for people to have conversations with their doctor.
I applaud Scty Azar’s announcement 2 give consumers more info w prescription drug prices on TV ads I support this action wholeheartedly & the proposed rule is a necessary step to ensure pharma provides the transparency consumers deserve

The countries that allow direct-to-consumers marketing of medications are two: New Zealand...& the US. 191 countries do not allow advertising of prescription drugs to consumers at all. More information on prices of pharmaceuticals is laudable but does not address the real issue of high prices in a market where there are monopolies and gouging. Where's your concern for this?

Great first step and not getting attn it deserves. As others said, time to stop advertising altogether. Only 2 countries allow it; it's time to make that 1. Some things are best left to doctors and not by consumer request based on commercials.
