You should be embarrassed to call yourself the chairman of the judiciary committee. Your irresponsibility & partisan conduct in controlling the scope of a bogus investigation will likely forever damage the image of the committee and the SCOTUS in the eyes of the world. #Disgrace

By all accounts this investigation was a sham. You & the GOP shroud be ashamed. If confirmed this will be a stain on you, GOP, SCOTUS. You could have done a fair investigation to clear all this up. You & the GOP are the worst of politics. History is not on your side

That's the thing - he doesn't have ANY power. He's bought and paid for. The power is coming from somewhere else. They could only be acting like this if the threat from above their heads was kompromat, a threat of death after torture, and money to make things nice.
