There are more technically accomplished guitar players, but fuck 'em. With Neil, it's all about the feel. He's in the zone for most of this album. Joyful abandon.

We live in a first floor flat and their scaffold walkway was at window height.
Okay, so what? You were singing to yourself and one of the roofers was just outside the open window in perfect earshot. They whistle and sing all the time. Big deal

Was just merrily singing to myself in the kitchen (Alabama Song if you must know) and it reminded me of the unfortunate incident when we were having the roof done.
Basically, I didn't realise that one of the roofers was cleaning brick dust off the kitchen windowsill

I can't recall why I got this on CD. I favoured vinyl back then as CDs were generally out of my price range. This had a vinyl release so I can only assume it wasn't immediately available or not in stock. Impatient!
