Further tip: You can use conditional breakpoints to add logging to code without modifying it. Just use `console.log(foo) && false` as your conditional breakpoint expression :)

i think the gutter is the white space between columns... i've always called that the line number column. codemirror, for instance, does have a gutter there, but chrome doesn't
