I downloaded the latest Chrome 65 beta, followed the instructions to set it up. It didn't work at all! The reason may be that I'm working on a single-page app written with React and styled-components. There are no CSS files. The styles are written into a style tag by JavaScript.

Are you editing from the Elements panel, or the Sources panel?

There's a limitation in 65 (that we fixed in 66) where if you make a change in Styles pane, and the change is based on a style tag within HTML, that won't persist. But it should work if you edit via Sources panel. The limitation is covered in the doc I linked to. --- Kayce
