This icon appears next to overridden properties. So if you're seeing something overridden and you don't immediately know what caused it, you click the button and that filters the view down.

Well it doesn't really filter but rather highlights <nitpick/> but good functionality nonetheless. Maybe real filtering is also a good idea? Hmm... single property view. Hmm..... typography view! Hmm.. layout view! Just talking to myself here

And hides any CSS rules that don't have that style in them. Computed tab can show this, but I like seeing it in the context of the other declarations and their selectors in the rules that have that style. Helps me get to the bottom of CSS bugs on large sites quickly.
