@billautomata @ChromeDevTools eek... I feel like this will cause a lot of confusion for people doing creative coding, gfx, games
I'm also concerned by this. I hope it is too obvious to miss, otherwise new folks will become very frustrated.
Chrome already hogs tons of resources. If it's slow with those resources and devs don't know why, they may just switch browsers.

"enabled by default" = the feature is available by default (this was an update to https://twitter.com/addyosmani/status/690424825337286656 …). We don't CPU throttle by default
Addy Osmani added,
Ah, phew. Sorry I misunderstood. Was definitely surprised! I may be misunderstanding, but haven't we had this feature for a while?
Lol no worries. The tweet being replied to is from August 2016. It's been there since then :)
Oh, lol, I didn't notice that. I wonder why it showed up in my feed
Anyway, thanks friend!
My bad (@kaycebasques), thought this was in reference to the new Device Mode menu... didn't look close enough https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/07/devtools-release-notes#throttling …
