Do you enable and use Custom Formatters in Chrome DevTools? If yes, for what purpose?

Perhaps it makes sense to team up with
@FirefoxDevTools since they are also looking for a better abstraction for custom formatters, a standardized API would be great! -
Sounds exciting, this has been a gnarly problem in our backlog for a while. Our exploration so far were considering using extension APIs.

Please, DO NOT REMOVE this feature! Hide it under a flag or something. It's the only things that's keeping hundreds of web-devs from switching to non-chromium based browsers.

Just wanna chime in here and say that I think custom formatters are really important for the DX surrounding proxy-based APIs. They aren't extremely common, but when they are necessary, you typically don't want users to have to dig through the implementation when debugging.

If the feature needs to be reworked or rethought that's totally understandable though! Really great to hear that the Chrome DevTools team is open to user feedback on this issue

I am sure that the ClojureScript community alone would be very happy if you were able to find a way to keep them. I am not in a position to offer to help, but if you reach out to the wider community you may find you do get offers. Thanks for asking about it :-)
