@ChromeDevTools The size reported by heap snapshots and by performance.memory.usedJSHeapSize are often substantially different. Is there an explanation for this? Is usedJSHeapSize reliable?

One major difference is that heap snapshots include typed arrays, that technically are stored outside of JS heap.

I see. So differences are expected, but the value in performance.memoryUsage still has value? To be clear about what I'm up to, I'm trying to log memory consumption by programmatically accessing the used heap size. I'm wondering if this is sane.
