Team said that it's an infrastructure limitation that they can't work around. Presumably you have a chrome extension that strips referer from request headers (for privacy) but unfortunately they can't support that use case b/c they need to know where the API is being used from.

Yes, it's a builtin Firefox configuration that allows to disable cross-origin referrers. Thanks for the fast reply! It just makes me wonder, the Referer is easily faked, it can't be relied upon. It's what I'll now do to make it work. You surely don't gain anything from that?
