The website doesn't seem to work when no cross-origin referrer is sent by the browser. This breaks the HTTP standard, where the Referer is an optional request header :/pic.twitter.com/Vmo0Ece3rw
Team said that it's an infrastructure limitation that they can't work around. Presumably you have a chrome extension that strips referer from request headers (for privacy) but unfortunately they can't support that use case b/c they need to know where the API is being used from.
