Alex Danylyuk, who was sacked as finance minister this week, tells me the government has no will to raise gas prices. So seems either the IMF will back down (unlikely) or the programme may be on ice until the elections

Apparently a new plaque over Manafort/Kilimnik former Kyiv office says "Confiscated goods [for sale]". The Universe does have a sense of humor.

  6. Knowing Kilimnik, something he's likely angry about after US indictment is it'll limit if not keep him from travel outside Russia. He doesn't even like the place much. Regardless of his alleged intel ties, he prefers Ukraine, his country of birth, to Russia, & Kyiv over Moscow.

  10. Just a couple hours before news broke of the new Manafort and Kilimnik indictment, I happened to walk past their old Kyiv, Ukraine office. This is what it looked like tonight. (Photo a bit off. Door is white one to the left under yellow sign.)

  11. I'm looking at a photo of Konstantin Kilimnik drinking a glass of wine at our first interview. While I'm certain he's displeased about being indicted for obstruction of justice, I'm also sure he's in Russia, out of Mueller's reach, and probably drinking another glass of wine.

Finally a statement from the authorities that seems to acknowledge that we are talking about humans being terrorized here: "No one has the right to engage in illegal activities, pseudo ultimatums, or for the sake of PR to conduct demonstrative pogroms against other citizens."
