Now they’re blaming me for everything I’m not responsible for. It’s disgusting.

Surely everything you say is true, but it would have been much more credible if you had done this at any other time and not a month before an election. That doesn't just make him look bad, it makes you look bad too, and even more so after having publicly supported him.
