My second book, ANIME IMPACT, will release in April! You’ll hear from me and many other writers like Ernest Cline (author of Ready Player One), John Rodriguez, Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic), Robert Walker, Emma Fyffe, Alicia Malone, Mark Crilley, Bennett White, and many more.

You couldn't have said it better when describing the fact that there are so many yet to experience these great films. I'm just starting to appreciate filmmaking more with watching classics for the first time, and your reviews act as great recommendations for the watchlist Thanks!

  5. This is the fastest they’ve ever released a claim after I’ve appealed it. I can only hope they’ve heard us.

  8. Blown away by how many other creators are being harassed by Universal ZEFR claims. But also very gratified to not be alone in this. Thank you for your support, everyone.

Yep. Manually claimed and refused. God forbid someone glowingly discuss the history of their films. Not to mention that it is covered under fair use. They can just do whatever they want since Youtube turns a blind eye to corporations.

My wife use to work as a content flagger at ZEFR. Awful company, repetitive work, shit pay. Every part of the ID’ing system is poor.

They've claimed my stuff before too. I never made a big deal out of it because I'm so small and nobody would've noticed. So I'm glad you guys are all talking about it

Yup they claimed my best horror movies of 2017 video for using trailer footage from Better Watch Out. Dispute rejected.

  16. Clearly, this is not just a problem one of us is having. They’re harassing many other fine creators as well. perk up those ears and do something.

Online film criticism is a huge part of new media and fair use is integral to allowing your favorite critics to make a living. Studios have to start using copyright rules sensibly and stop punishing the people who are giving their movies exposure and coverage.

If we all went in on a class-action deal, that might get the point across

  21. The thing is, I love movies. I love the whole process of making them and watching them. But it's these greedy companies that ruin the magic. I hope you're listening. The Fair Use Act of 1976 has held up in court as recently as LAST YEAR.
