    Trying to identify them & think (? by those I'm not entirely sure about!), going clockwise from Owen: Dinotherium, Machairodus/Homotherium, Dimorphodon, Megalosaurus (?), some sort of Eurypterid (?), Iguanodon, Palaeotherium, Plesiosaur, Pleistocene rhino (?). And serving Dodo.

    Also had never known this lithograph, showing Richard Owen hosting a dinner party for an assemblage of classic Victorian prehistoric beasties. The note on the table says "Please do not eat your bones, but save them for Prof. Owen." (source )

    Henry Fairfield Osborn’s author proofs for his massive 1929 monograph on titanotheres. My favorite edit in the whole volume is the page heading of Chapter One. “Larger.”
