The problem with both our tax and judicial systems is that they are game frameworks designed by people who did not account for griefers.
But then what limit do you set to establish someone as "poor," and what happens to families just above that line?

Think of it as a game system that players *will* exploit the worst possible case, every time, and everyone *has* to have fun.

A flat tax increases the amount of people having *fun*, but it still leaves a significant amount angry.

Right now, people earning < $39k pay 3% of the nation's tax burden, so that could be the starting point. Graduate up from there.

But then that's not a flat tax, it's a progressive income tax. Which is what we already have.
