At their core, games are designed to be fun, and if you don't get to play with your toys, then it's not fun. That means your game fails.
@gameism Right, but denial gone too far means the other person never gets to play, and they have no incentive to play again.

@gameism There's a place for counters to turn the tide of a match, but an entire deck of counters is a giant middle finger. -
@ChrisWarcraft Yup, which is a problem with balance. It's not that there's a counter/permissive card, it's that the balance got broken.
