Then I want to know what service it was, because the root issue is that the state of Florida should *not* have my current address, and if they do, it’s very likely they have every other person who played in the NFL, and that’s a problem!

It’s a way bigger problem than that. My guess is there is a public record in Florida that provides your name as a player. With your name they can trace back everything. They have your (and my) current income, what you spend on credit, everyplace you spend money etc.

Data privacy is something we ignore, but these companies literally know everything about us. They have to provide dumb disclaimers like “from Florida”, but there is nothing that makes them disclose that they know you bought orange juice from the bodega yesterday.
