Lot of people have this take and you should probably talk to some actual sexworkers who will enlighten you about how Pornhub’s attempts to actually moderate and cut down on CP is what made the moralists able to crack down because they could point to actual numbers.https://twitter.com/DecentlyGood/status/1337190014799605761 …

I've heard all that too. Have you read the Kristoff article that kicked this all off? It's quite damning. And Pornhub's attempts to moderate have been quantifiably insignificant. Other non-Porn companies have tried waaaay harder, as Kristoff showed.

I'm happy for the ones that do well for themselves. I'd recommend also talking to some actual social aid workers and anyone that deals with the foster care system. Also also...c'mon that NYT article is quite convincing

No, it really isn’t, because the writer has a history of writing anti-sexwork articles. Also, my wife is a social worker, I’m well aware of issues with child abuse. This? This is moralistic panic because they finally found a target they knew people wouldn’t care about.

If the NYTimes actually cared about stopping child abuse, that article would’ve been directed at Facebook. I wonder why it wasn’t.
