WE HAVE TO WIN. THEN MOVE. THEN WIN AGAIN. THEN MOVE BIGGER. THEN WIN AGAIN! THEN MOVE! But we keep losing midterms because self-righteous pride about what we SHOULD do pulls the chair out from under our shitty Centrists so we can never afford a fucking Progressive nationally.

That definitely explains why Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib keep losing elections yup you sure got me there

... in Progressive districts they represent well? Yeah. I think the better comparison is: I guess being the better person with military credentials and on the right side of every issue is why Amy McGrath beat actual threat to Democracy Mitch McConnell.... Oh.

I guess being right is why Colin Kaepernick is still QB of the 49ers. And how Bobby Kennedy became President. And how Dr. King beat racism forever. And how you retired a Viking. Oh, did none of that happen? Turns out, Capitalism, ignorance and white supremacy are a helluva drug.

What the fuck are you even arguing? That if MLK had used different words he wouldn’t have been shot? If Colin Kaepernick had taken a knee differently he would still be employed? That if I found a way to say “gay marriage” differently I wouldn’t have been fired?

You don’t stand up for the right thing because the message is focus tested, you stand up because it’s the right thing to do. What the fucking hell.

Being. Right. Isn't. Enough. If. You. Can't Change. Minds. But you go on and keep insisting we can't change a single syllable of a stupid slogan, even if it means losing because something something courage of your convictions. You'll be fine either way.

You wanna compare records on changing minds you be my fucking guest. I wrote a whole chapter in my first book about people who said I shouldn’t have used swearwords. Last time I checked gay marriage is still legal in Minnesota.

You'll be fine either way, man. If we don't win the runoff in GA? If we lose the midterms? If we lose in four years? You'll be fine. But if we can't win over some ignorant aunts and uncles b/c we're too proud to dumb down a bad slogan, a lot of people won't be. That's all.

Nonono, you came up all high and mighty into *my* feed about how The Brand
is what matters, and then I pointed out how one of us actually made some change despite not using Brand Approved Messaging
and asked for receipts and you started shifting into ad hominems.1 réponse 0 Retweet 1 j'aime
So maybe next time you start thinking like you know some shit, maybe take a second and recognize that you really fucking don’t. Good bye.
