Is Tucker the best kicker you've ever seen? Someone out there past/present we don't appreciate enough?

I once held a 81 yard field goal made by some kid that kicked at Mt Sac jr college during a TKG camp in 1999. Kid had the strongest leg ever, unfortunately he failed out first semester and i think spent some time in jail. Could have been a great as they say.

Do you remember the name? Because the TKG camps were where I learned how to kick, and it’s highly likely I was there. The drive from Seal Beach to Mt Sac was not fun :/ (Paul and John were great instructors though)

Tucker has reportedly said in ideal conditions he’d try one from 84.5

Haha, ideal conditions being “one step short of a tornado”

Eddy Piniero hit 70+ in practice in college.

Right, but what were the conditions? A little wind goes a long way

Yeah, that’s why my predictions are heavily hedged by “how strong is the tailwind” :)

I was lucky enough to be at the game in Denver when Prater hit from 64. How much do you think altitude actually impacts distance of kicks? Do you think ~70 yards out is more realistic in Denver than say, Miami?
-
It easily adds five yards
