I do believe mental illness is up. Depression, anxiety and insomnia are up. Imo covid is correlation not causation. Covid doesn’t give you mental illness... Covid gives you isolation, extraordinary pressure on kids, your relationships, even your job.

You might want to read up more on the disease, covid is hitting the neurological parts of the body too and is absolutely causing mental illness

Pretty sure you missed my point. I’m not disagreeing that covid is likely to impact us as the article you retweeted. I meeely believe that the pandemic is the major cause because covid caused isolation and fear of death. Hard to believe anyone comes out completely unscathed

No, I saw your point, I’m saying it’s wrong as related to what I posted. They were looking for actual neurological changes caused by the disease, not “oh the world sucks and this is causing me to stress out.”
