And while Ars Technica has a wonderful piece on how piracy can actually result in positive net sales for GAMES, that same article points out that the study which found that also found it has the accepted net negative on films and BOOKS.

So yeah, up until the IA decided to throw established copyright to the wind, they were just fine. They’ll likely still be fine moving forward, as the vast majority of authors speaking on this (including Chuck) have stated they don’t have a problem with the IA, but the piracy.

And if the publishers try to play hardball it is VERY likely they’ll receive a ton of pushback from the very people who make them money. So maybe put the fucking pitchfork down and stop harassing individuals when your issue is with corporations.
