Finished up FF7 remake. The game is an absolute marvel of modern videogames, one that delivers spectacle after sublime spectacle, and fleshes out the first part of the original in an epic fashion. The combat system is donkey balls. Rotten, festering mule nuts. Play on Classic.

MY question, is it going to be 3 or 4 parts at 60$ a pop?
-
Most likely, but if it keeps these production values, they’ll be worth it. I felt like I got what I paid for.

Even Shinra Middle Manager got an arc. Good on you, Shinra Middle Manager.

I haven't played it but I spoiled myself on the ending and am both thrilled and concerned by it. Do you have faith in how they'll handle the future installments considering latter day SquareEnix track record.
-
Normally I’d say no, but I’m actually cautiously optimistic in this case because they’re not making something brand new, but instead adding to an already proven world/story. (Granted, it’s Squeenix, so they could throw some real stupid shit in though (cough cough blitzball))

I freaking loved how they expanded the secondary characters. It made me love them even more. And the nods to things to come - like how Rude makes Reno miss hitting Tifa when she’s climbing the tower
-
Yeah, it really did make all the relationships feel a lot more personal, as opposed to “Random Shinra Turk shows up! Now they’re gone!”

Call into Video Games Weekly with Reiner. He thinks the combat is good.
