Other thoughts: -Barrett is *slightly* less problematic, but still problematic. He’s a caricature, and it hurts what should be an awesome character. -The Honeybee Inn scene was handled incredibly well. Props. -The mini games and gimmicks are true to the original (which, yeah)

Other other thoughts: -Lots of bit players (Wedge and Biggs, Shinra honchos) got expanded stories and it really helped flesh out Midgar. Excited to see what happens once we enter the overworld. -The game is worth the price tag. If it wasn’t for the combat, it’d be near perfect.

Quick question ... is Classic actually ok or you're neutering the whole experience?

I'm told it's very easy. There was a Kotaku article with a controversial headline that criticized there being no middle ground between "effectively story mode" and "actually quite hard and very bullet spongey."

Not finished it yet, but I don't have too many gripes with the combat system. However I hated the Hell House fight. That fucking thing took far too long.

I ended up just playing on easy to enjoy the experience, which mitigated any combat pain. Zero guilt manifested.

I don't want to sound like a stan but I think the combat is fine just poorly explained. (I figured out Cloud could counter in punisher mid-bossfight.)When you try to fight flyers with melee chars it's ass but otherwise it's a medium between KH and FFXV.
