It is remarkable how that airline seat thing illustrates a lot of people’s thinking that because you can pay to cause discomfort to others, you should be allowed to do so.

Let me know if you’re interested in pursuing litigation. Or at least having me explain why rich retired athletes who stand approximately 6’9” should just pay for the damn upgrade.

Again, that’s the point though. Why is the financial burden always on the person who the discomfort is being applied to? “Pay more to avoid my cruelty.” Why isn’t the obligation on those who want to recline?
