Speaking as a 6’4” person, there is a right answer, and it’s to not be the asshole who reclines your seat.https://twitter.com/MarinaMarraco/status/1227709791172206593 …

Mmm sorry but tall guys have made it impossible for me to enjoy concerts my entire life. You win some, you lose some, it all evens out. Handle the inconvenience with grace like the rest of us

-
Another bullshit answer. It's not their fault they're tall. But, even he, as a tall person, is advocating not encroaching. Jesus, people think about themselves way too much.

That makes me sad. Ask them to scoot it back or the attendant to switch your seat. Don’t escalate!
I’ve got misokinesia and things like my seat vibrating because someone on the row is doing the leg shaking thing or the person behind me knocking into my seat are triggers.
-
Oh I’m very careful not to hit the seat in front of me unless they try to wham it back. Then all bets are off.

I perform what I call "taking a charge." It involves anticipating the recline, situating knees into a set, defensive position. When recline arrives, pain is expressed audibly. Recognizing the foul, offender then apologizes, returns back to upright, to remain for rest of flight.
-
Is it passive-aggressive? Yes. Has it occasionally hurt more than it's worth? Sure. Has it worked all seven times I have attempted it? Most indubitably!
