Made pasta tonight but this time I used that soy protein that’s made to look like ground beef instead of actual ground beef. It’s... not bad, I guess? Texture is similar, taste is definitely different, but it’s not a bad taste, just not what I’m used to. Would use again.

Look closely at the label, particularly sodium and other additives. Are the health benefits that impactful?

I suppose my views on it are skewed having lived in Korea and Japan for a while. Soy dishes are substitutes for meat dishes because meat was an expensive luxury forever.

Which, to be honest, is the way it should be. I like a good steak or hamburger as much as the next person but not if it means killing the planet. I’m okay with lessening my consumption.
