You don't get to talk about toxic elements while calling people shitweasels, and arguing that you support Sanders rings hollow when you're also mouthing the decorum rhetoric of the hard center.

I honestly don’t understand why you’re so upset about this unless you identify as one of those toxic elements and feel I was referring to you. Because once again, when I call people assholes, it’s because they’re being assholes.

My argument from the top has been that you're making a fool of yourself, for no good reason and no clear end. You need to radically reevaluate your own posting here, because you are breaking the rules you insist everyone should live by.

What rules? That I can’t make fun of shitheads who support a particular candidate just because they happen to support *your* particular candidate? That watching a cult of personality grow and metastasize is okay because it’s for “the right reasons”?

I did my fucking homework. I read through every single one of those 3000+ replies, and there is nothing in there that makes me question the validity of my claim. Bernie has a problem in his base and it needs to get addressed or it will hamper his election chances if he’s the nom.

We have almost the exact same political positions. We even have basically the same candidate preferences. We differ chiefly on how and why and when getting in fights online is useful online.

And I think this one is useful because the problem in Bernie’s camp is growing and this is a prime way to illustrate it. I want him to be the strongest possible candidate if he’s the nomination, but I’ve seen multiple people gloss over the shitty part of his base.

The main part where we differ is that I don't think telling people to go fuck themselves with a chainsaw on twitter has greater political implications, so I'm not concerned about random strangers. I'm just concerned about one person that I know and respect.

There are several reasons I said that: A) if you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know I’m not advocating for a literal purity pledge B) if you haven’t been following me, it’s easy enough to take ten seconds to browse my feed to see what I’m about

C) I’m angry at the world too, and I’m especially angry at people who are willing to watch fascists keep consolidating their power if they can’t have their cult leader in charge

And the amount of edgy memelord replies I’ve had to block from accounts that response tagged in has been off the charts, so I feel pretty justified in my verbiage.
